Dr. Grossman grew up in Iowa. He received his undergraduate premedical training at Ripon College (Ripon, Wisconsin) and his master's degree in chemistry from Drake University (Des Moines, Iowa). He received his doctorate from the College of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery in Des Moines, Iowa. He completed his five-year residency in ear, nose, throat and facial plastic surgery at Oakland General Hospital in Madison Heights, Michigan. He also completed post-residency training in liposuction of face and body.
He is a member of the American Osteopathic Medical Association, the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery and Osteopathic College of Ophthalmology and
Otorhinolaryngology . He is board certified in otorhinolaryngology and
maxillo-facial plastic surgery by the AOBOOHNS. He is also a Fellow of the AOBOOHNS, their highest honor.
Dr. Grossman was the first doctor in this area to do tumescent liposuction using the NuMed powered cannula. He has performed over 4,000 liposuction procedures since 1986.
Dr. Grossman and his wife, Lisa, have a daughter who was born in 1990. Together they enjoy traveling, flying, boating, hiking and playing with their three cats.
